Clean and Clear Five Points South
Clean & Clear is Five Points South’s bi-annual cleanup event in partnership with UAB’S into the streets student program. From trash collection to clearing sidewalks and greenery efforts, this is your day to give back to Five Points South.
We hope that beautification efforts like this will help to create a higher quality of life by attracting visitors, residents, reduce crime, encourage new businesses, new residents and create pride in neighborhood that we live, work and worship.
Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Check-in is from 9:00 - 9:30 a.m. at Starbucks Five Points, 1927 11th Ave South. [NOTE: we will leave together as a group at 9:30am] All sidewalks and alleys within the Five Points South business district are targeted for Clean and Clear efforts this time.
At check-in, you’ll receive your assigned cleaning area and a complimentary beverage (coffee and water). All we need you to bring is the manpower and the following; gloves, shovels, cutters and rakes. Trash bags and pick up sticks will be provided.
Anyone! From church members to area residents and merchants, we’ll find a place and tasks for everyone. UAB students will be in the area assisting with the clean-up efforts. Sign up as an individual or gather a team.
Volunteers can register to participate by emailing James Little at email@example.com
